I keep hearing gross exaggeration on the subject of allowing refugees entrance to Canada. For example “the government is offering free university education to refugees” and “with all the benefits, refugees have better chances than locals”. Or “refugees are stealing jobs from locals”.

Please educate yourselves accordingly. Read the Government of Canada page on “Canada resettling Syrian refugees”. At a cost of $1.2B over 6 years, shared by the government and private sector, resettling 25K Syrian refugees to my mind is a good way to mitigate the Isis risk.

People who still don’t see this need simply study a bit of international politics. If you have other suggestions to help minimize Paris-type risks, let’s hear them please.
